The integration between My Shop Assist and QuickBooks Online streamlines your accounting and shop management workflows by syncing key financial and customer data. Here’s what it enables:
- Invoice Syncing: Easily transfer completed jobs from MSA to QuickBooks Online as invoices, eliminating double entry and ensuring accurate billing.
- Progress Billing: MSA allows you to filter a job by a date range, creating a bill of the work done for a period of time (progress bill). These can be indivdually exported to QuickBooks as stand alone invoices each time.
- Customer Syncing: Customers created or updated in MSA are automatically reflected in QuickBooks Online, keeping your records consistent.
- Parts & Labor Syncing: Line items, including parts and labor, are pushed to QuickBooks invoices with correct descriptions, quantities, and pricing.
- Payment Tracking: Payments recorded in QuickBooks can be tracked back to the corresponding jobs in MSA for better financial visibility.
- Tax Mapping: Sales tax settings from MSA can be mapped to match your QuickBooks Online tax rules, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Custom Chart of Accounts: You can configure item mappings in MSA to align with your QuickBooks Online chart of accounts, helping categorize income correctly.
- Real-Time Sync: Data updates in near real-time, keeping both systems aligned with minimal manual effort.
This integration helps save time, reduce errors, and provide a clearer financial picture of your shop’s operations. We have put together a video walkthrough oof how to set it up, and how to use the QBO integration above.
